Popular Music, Persona, and Me:   Discovering what’s real and fake so that wecan find what really matters in life.

We love music and musicians who look and sound real to us.   However, most musicians are acting.  They create a persona which is a made-up image of who they want us to think they are.  Some personas can be fun and uplifting while others can be harmful,especially when we believe they are real. In this reach in session, Micah van Dijk will be unpacking the idea of persona in popular music and offering practical skills to help us find music that connects with us on a deeper level.
